Looking for a way to participate in Make a Difference Day? Join Sausalito Village!

 

We need 10 volunteers to help with a project we have adopted on Make a Difference Day.

Sausalito Village will help to create something very special for children unwholesome are hospitalized.

Children from our community will create colorful artwork for cards, and we need volunteers with neat, legible printing to write short, positive and inspiring messages inside them.

The finished cards will be placed on the beds or bedside tables of young patients to welcome and encourage them when they return from treatment.

We especially need:

PLEASE REGISTER IF YOU ARE A Card Writer: Come to Dunphy Park between 9:00 AM and noon and help write cheerful, encouraging messages inside the children's cards.

JUST SHOW UP if you are bringing Young Artists: Bring your grandchildren, neighborhood children, or other young friends to create artwork for the cards between 9:00AM and noon. Children and families are welcome to participate in the day's festivities.

Make a Day of It!
The entire community is invited, and there will be plenty happening throughout the day:

8:00 AM — Continental breakfast
9:00 AM–Noon — Children's art & card writing
Noon — Lunch prepared by the Sausalito Lions Club, featuring chicken and Asian coleslaw
Noon — Live music by Davey Jones and the Hot Clams
Afternoon — DJ and more fun in the park

All volunteers will gather at lunchtime to celebrate what we've accomplished together.

No special skills are needed—just a little time, a kind heart, and, for our card writers, handwriting that children can read!

Please join us at Dunphy Park and help send a little bit of Sausalito love to children who could really use it.
