Exclusive Outing: Step Inside Music History at 2200 Studios (Formerly "The Plant")

Step through the doors of a legendary musical sanctuary right in our own backyard! Sausalito Village members have a rare, exclusive opportunity to visit 2200 Studios(historically known as The Plant or the Record Plant Sausalito).

Opened in 1972, this unassuming redwood building at 2200 Bridgeway became a world-renowned creative retreat, legendary for its relaxed vibe and cutting-edge sound. It is famously the birthplace of Fleetwood Mac’s monumental album Rumours, and its hallowed walls have hosted rock royalty including Jimi Hendrix, the Grateful Dead, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Prince, and Santana.

Recently restored and reopened as a living, working cultural landmark, this is your chance to stand in the spaces where music history was made and discover the fascinating local lore that shaped the soundtrack of generations.

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. (Please arrive 10 minutes early so we can begin promptly!)

Note: Because this is an active, working recording studio, our tour is scheduled early in the morning to avoid conflicting with their daily recording sessions.

Location: 2200 Bridgeway, Sausalito

RSVP Required: Because space is highly limited for this exclusive tour, registrations will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Secure your spot early for this walk down rock 'n' roll memory lane!
