Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT is Sausalito Village? Sausalito Village is a volunteer-based non profit organization that is dedicated to helping Sausalito residents age comfortably in their homes and engaged in the community.
HOW does the Village work? Although the heart of the Village is its volunteers and members, the Village Concierge is the hub of much of the activity. One phone call to the Concierge can link members to volunteers for rides to medical appointments, healthcare advocacy, linkage to vetted and member-referred businesses and services and much more. A full calendar of activities, events and day trips keep members active and connected. And...don’t forget the long list of local business discounts.
WHO can be a MEMBER? Anyone who lives in Sausalito and the Floating Homes can be a member. Although most members are 55 and older, everyone can be a supporter.
Is there a COST? Membership is $200 for a one or two person household. A limited number of reduced or full fee waivers are available for residents interested in joining but unable to afford the annual fee.
WHO can be a VOLUNTEER? Anyone can be a volunteer! The Village runs on volunteers and there is always a place for YOU.
WHAT are the VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES? There are many ways to volunteer depending on your interests, skills and availability. Volunteers are needed to provide direct service such as driving, electronic technical assistance, leading a class, or ‘behind the scenes’ in helping to keep the Village non profit running.
