03/01/21 Update: Marin County now has a dedicated phone line with a live person to assist residents 65+ with vaccination appointments: 833-641-1988 (M-F, 8am-5pm)

Latest Information about Vaccinations

Drive-Through Vaccinations Are Here!

A new drive-through vaccination location at Larkspur Landing Ferry Terminal.  Eventually, the site will expand to offer up to 1,500 doses per day.

The County of Marin has partnered with Curative and the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District – which operates the ferry terminal – to open the new point of dispensing (POD) site. Personnel from Marin County fire agencies will also assist with POD staffing.

Appointments are required and are limited to Marin residents age 65 and older who can show proof of age and residency. Appointments are accessible from Marin County Public Health’s vaccination options webpage.

Marin Health is 628-336-5279 You need to be a member of  the “MarinHealth Network” and over 75.

MARIN CIVIC CENTER has turned away walk in but that will change when more supply is delivered. 

UCSF & Kaiser are not making appointments.  UCSF the drive-through at city College was closed because they don’t have vaccines. UCSF contact told us that to call back today Wednesday after 1:00.

Appointments are required at all pharmacy locations. Do not contact individual stores for appointments or visit a store seeking a vaccination without an appointment. Appointments for all locations can be made on our Vaccinations Options webpage.

In Marin, the following pharmacies have begun booking appointments to vaccinate healthcare workers and residents age 65 & older:

At this time, appointments cannot be made by calling your local store. Appointments can be made at CVS.com or through the CVS Pharmacy app. Anyone without internet access can call (800) 746-7287.

  • Rite Aid: Mill Valley - 701 East Blithedale Ave.

In addition, select Safeway pharmacies will also begin offering vaccine next week, in partnership with Marin County Public Health.

Vaccines for Sutter Patients 65 and older

Sutter Health receives its vaccines directly from the State and has made the decision to make them available to Sutter Health patients who are 65 and older.

Sutter is administering shots to Marin patients at vaccination clinic at 101 Rowland Way in Novato.

Appointments are required and can be made through the company's online patient portal, at mho.sutterhealth.org or by calling Sutter's vaccination hotline at 844-987-6115.

Marin County Residents

Marin County residents are encouraged to fill out this online interst form to receive email or test message notification when their turn for a vaccination has arrived and how to pursue vaccine appointment.

Ways to get signed up for Vaccination if you are 75 or older

You will need to be proactive and probaby need to keep calling or checking your medical provider. Wednesday is the key day as the County learns how many doses they will ger for the next week. They should open up spots on Wednesday for the next week.  Once you get the first dose, they will follow through for your second.

Start with your Doctor/Health Care provider

Kaiser has been taking appointments through the Advice nurse 866-454-8855.  They  may soon switch to online.  Be prepared to be on hold for some time.

Sutter is taking appointments on line through their website  https://www.sutterhealth.org/

Sign up for an account or sign in.  If you are over 75, the site will prompt you to set up an appointment.

They are full through this Wednesday.  They show spots for the end of the week and will post more spots on Wednesday depending on availability.
